My review and perspective on model: UH70105 vacuum cleanerThis is the Hoover WindTunnel Bagless Upright Vacuum, WindTunnel T-Series, UH70105 Vacuum Cleaner Review please check the reviews page for a comparison of other vacuum cleaners.
I used to be able to recommend Hoover as the best vacuum cleaner around. Hands down if someone asked me what vacuum they should buy I could honestly look at them and say "Find a Hoover in your price range" and the issue was closed. They used to have a wide variety of vacuums for every type of home and each one was made at top quality. All of that has changed, they moved to Mexico for lower production costs but maintained their quality for a while, still not able to compete in the market though they soon sold all patents and the Hoover name to China.
Not all Hoover vacuum cleaners are bad, but they're far from the high quality standards throughout their entire product line that they used to be. This Hoover Windtunnel vacuum is one of those that I would put into the "not my favorite" categories. The attached hose is flimsy and easily kinked, and how it connects has a tendency to cause clogs that I frequently repair for people. It also has the feature that I dread most from low cost vacuum cleaners today and that is a plastic brush roll. It's hard to find a vacuum in this price range that doesn't have one, but what they all end up doing is warping. Especially when you try and run the vacuum for longer periods of time the brush roll heats up and warps. That warped brush roll eventually turns into a catching brush roll that catching brush roll soon turns into a stopped brush roll which then ends up a melted brush roll. This vacuum has a clear plastic front so you can see brush roll activity, but guess what very quickly happens to that clear plastic as dirt and dust is whizzed past it at high speeds... it becomes not so clear only showing dirt and muck that you really don't want to be staring at every time you get your vacuum out to clean.
This vacuum isn't the worst thing out there by a long shot, but just not one of my favorites. If you're looking for a vacuum for a smaller apartment that is light weight does a decent job of picking up and doesn't need to clean large areas this is a great vacuum for you. The combination of upright vacuum with the attached hose makes it great for smaller areas when you don't want multiple vacuum cleaners lying around in storage. Anything larger than a medium sized apartment I wouldn't suggest this vacuum for.

Keeping the standard of clean set on high, Hoover introduces the new Windtunnel T-Series family of bagless upright vacuums, combining a sleek lightweight design with superior cleaning power that is easy to use with a practical price. This hi-tech bagless vacuum has ingenious options, such as fingertip controls conveniently located within reach on the handle and a height adjustment feature to ensure roll brushes are at the proper height. A cord clip is just below the handle on the back side of the unit and it keeps the cord out of the way while cleaning. Requiring minimal maintenance, the Windtunnel T-Series has a rinsable filter that can be easily cleaned under running water and a high quality HEPA filter - neither of which will need to be replaced with proper care. The Windtunnel T-Series Vacuums feature Hoover's patented Windtunnel Technology with air passages that trap dirt and channel it into the dirt cup, significantly minimizing blowback and scatttering back onto the floor. While each model is lightweight, they still offer full Hoover power for a deep down clean and no loss of suction. All models have specially designed tools for cleaning tough to reach areas.
The UH70105 is a Residential vacuum designed for use in the Residential environment. I have reviewed it accordingly, the price point of the UH70105 is set for the Residential industry which should be taken into consideration when purchasing or thinking about purchasing this vacuum. Commercial vacuum cleaners may be built to last longer and endure more abuse, but are more expensive and may be lacking some of the luxuries (such as light weight, or low noise) that you are accustomed to. On the contrary Residential vacuums are made at lower price points, lower quality, but are often lighter and quieter to use. Please feel free to add your own perspective of the Hoover WindTunnel Bagless Upright Vacuum, WindTunnel T-Series, UH70105 Vacuum Cleaner Review.
